How We Compete for Economic Growth

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership maintains as open and transparent operations as possible on how we achieve outcomes sought by the state, including new job creation, higher wages, expanding our high-quality talent base, growing tax base and new business formation.

General Statement

Like all states, Delaware is operating in an extremely dynamic and competitive market place, where we are aggressively competing for new and existing jobs. In this fast-paced environment, the interests of transparency must be responsibly balanced with the need for speed, efficiency and to protect the confidential business information of companies considering Delaware as a business location.

While the Delaware Prosperity Partnership, Inc. is not required to comply with the Delaware Freedom of Information Act, we both value and understand the importance of accountability and transparency in building the trust and confidence in our efforts to help grow the Delaware economy. Thus, we will strive to operate in an as open and transparent a manner as possible, within the confines of our overall mission.

Guiding Principles

  • Provide as much information as we can the public regarding our plans, decisions, policies, standards, and performance
  • Make sure that information is easy to find, relevant, accurate and wherever possible self‐explanatory
  • Provide regular meetings for public discourse and comment to be received by the board of directors
  • Respond to requests for information in a way which is cost effective and proportionate

Routine Publications

The Delaware Prosperity Partnership will publish and provide the following information in different ways and formats to meet the diverse needs of the state, its citizens and potential businesses. In many cases, we will use our website to share this information, but in some instances, we may print documents such as leaflets and newsletters. We may also utilize various social media channels.

Financial Information

  • A copy of our 990 501(c)(3) tax filings which includes such information as:
    • The compensation of the five highest paid employees/contractors
    • Our balance sheet, to include a statement of revenue and assets
    • Our fundraising expenses
    • Key donor information, including amounts received in contributions from individuals and foundations
  • Annual Audited Financial Statements
  • Identity of our vendors
  • A list of contributors

The DPP is governed by:

  • Our strategic plans
  • Summaries of approach to governance and policies
  • Conflict of Interest Policy
  • Relevant organizational documents
  • Meeting minutes from our Board of Directors
